Bharat Jodo Yatra

The Bharat Jodo Yatra began on 7th September from Kanyakumari and will pass through 12 states, culminating in Jammu and Kashmir – spanning a distance of nearly 3,500 Km over the course of about 150 days.

The yatra has already received an overwhelming response; lakhs of people accompanied by Congress leaders have joined the movement to raise their voice against the economic, social and political issues that are dividing our nation (India) today. The yatra seeks to address rampant unemployment & inflation, the politics of hate and division and the over-centralisation of our political system.

People from all walks of life are coming together to be a part of this historic movement. It is a celebration of India’s unity, its cultural diversity and the incredible fortitude of her people (as Congress party claim).

My Take:

Apart from party politics, this Bharat Jodo Yatra is a very good and appreciative initiative to unite and regain the faith of us common Indians on the unity in diversity in living, to regain the faith on constitution of India and constitutional rights of a common man, to reunite to make India free from divide and rule politics, to retrieve inter-cultural events, to reopen the door for dialogues and communications between the lines, to recreate the brotherhood between the religions, to make India unite in its diversity.

This can be a great life changing Yatra for a common man, if Rahul Gandhi led Bharat Jodo Yatra movement gets over successfully which is looking a bit difficult because of some fascist force's usual threats and misinterpretations of this big movement. 

The Congress Party also trying to find their lost way of its political scenario through this Bharat Jodo Yatra.
